Audrey Staton-Thompson, OAESA Minority Representative, discusses key issues that the Ohio Alliance of Black School Educators is working on with educational partners across the state. Her conversation with Thanda Maceo, OABSE President, and Tyrone Olverson, co-chair of the Superintendent Commission for OABSE, highlights the mission and work of OABSE to address equity issues and long-term funding, literacy and literacy skills, mental health and establishing positive learning cultures, and the educational leadership pipeline.
